Vincent McReynolds of Celebrate Recovery: Every Christ-Follower is an Addict in Recovery (Part One)
Today, we address a good news/bad news situation.
First, the good news. According to the website, "Celebrate Recovery" is a biblically balanced approach to help bring sustainable recovery and healing to hurts. The program guides participants toward new healthy truths and life-giving habits as they repair broken relationships. To date, the program has helped over seven millions individuals worldwide that have struggled with addiction of various sorts--substance abuse, food, sex, porn, and more.
Now, the bad news. According to CR leader Vincent McReynolds, you're an addict even if you don't realize it. We all are. In today's powerful KCC episode, McReynolds makes the point that our fallen state, our sin nature, holds us down and prevents us from realizing the potential that God has set before us. The keys to breaking free from the chains of sin are the same principles that drive programs like Celebrate Recovery.
