Show Notes

Arizona State Treasurer Kimberly Yee's career is a career of "firsts".  Yee is the first Asian American woman elected to the Arizona State Legislature.   She is also the first Chinese American Republican woman to win a major statewide office in the history of the United States.  But the "first" that Kimberly Yee prefers to talk about is the prudent reality that sound financial stewardship needs to be a first priority in our homes and in educating our children.

In today's first of two episodes featuring State Treasurer Yee, she explains how that priority became personal to her.  As part of a family that understands that legal immigration and hard work can make the American Dream a reality, she has moved from a corner market established shortly after our state was founded to managing a $40 billion cache of state savings...and growing the state's savings account by $23 billion.
